Expedite the Internal Audit – Preparation Succees

To succeed with the preparation, the fire, the AIM approach, you have to think of the Audit Program as a “continuous” auditing program. What I mean is, start in an area known higher risk of the auditable entity (management of the interview in the field) and then, more often, you begin to get a better idea of what is most important of audit compared to only write the Audit Program and start sampling. By using the “continuous” approach of the audit of the program, the scope will be revealed rather than spending valuable time and resources to determine what the scope should be. Also, if all their time in planning, what time is going to have when you need to develop findings of audit ? Probably none. If you do not have time to develop the findings of audit , you will not have time to make the recommendations of audit sound and profitable.

I had some of the best scope changes occur as a result of management’s interview first. If the administration is to cooperate with Internal Audit, will often remove the “problem areas” and find that your initial risk assessment may have been off. And what Auditor wants to admit they lost a particular area with the findings of audit important. No Audit Program should be set in stone. In a “continuous” auditing program is where the findings of audit are important as it will be better able to adjust the scope and adapt as you progress the audit . What is the “added value” of a program is written in stone? Despite assurances to be offered on the basis of what is tested is what has not been tested since the Audit Program is a stone that you should ask yourself.
